Vrdoljak: Božo Petrov’s Criminal Complaint is a Precedent in European Politics

The president of HNS and vice president of the Croatian Parliament, Ivan Vrdoljak, assessed on Tuesday in Osijek that the criminal complaint against the management of Agrokor, filed by the president of the Parliament, Božo Petrov, is a precedent in European politics and an attempt to use intelligence data for political purposes.

After signing the coalition agreement of HNS, HSS, and HSU in the Osijek-Baranja County, in response to a journalist’s request to comment on Prime Minister Andrej Plenković’s reaction to Most’s insistence on the criminal complaint against Agrokor, Vrdoljak stated in a media statement that “Plenković is in coalition with Most, while Božo Petrov is in coalition with Zdravko Marić, a man who works at Agrokor.”

-“And they behave as if they are not in a coalition,” he adds.

Therefore, he believes that Božo Petrov’s criminal complaint is a precedent in European politics, because, as he claims, no president of parliament in any European country has ever filed a criminal complaint against someone while controlling the repressive apparatus, except today in Croatia.

As if he learned something new from the newspapers, not from intelligence data. He had something that citizens do not have, because in his capacity as president of the Parliament, he receives intelligence-security data and wanted to use it for political purposes, Vrdoljak asserted.

-“Plenković comes, who nicely criticizes this, but keeps the coalition at all costs, even at the cost of destabilizing Croatia in economic-financial terms, and now even in political terms,” emphasized HNS president Vrdoljak.
