Municipal Standard

Minister Kuščević emphasized that they are aware that not all areas in the country are equally developed, and their desire is to help align the municipal standard in all units of local self-government. Therefore, this year, more than 40 million kuna has been secured in the budget, which is 10 million more than last year.

– The funds with which we co-finance projects were obtained from the legalization of facilities, and through this program, we are returning them to our cities and municipalities for the development and harmonization of the municipal standard. This is one of the rare measures where funds are decentralized. I want to convey that municipalities, cities, and counties are very important for the development of Croatia; they should be encouraged and co-financed in their projects so that together we can create conditions for our fellow citizens to continue living in their homes, said Minister Kuščević.

In response to journalists’ questions, he stated that the state earns about 130 million kuna annually from legalization, that they have allocated 40 million kuna for co-financing projects, and that the remainder will be spent, among other things, on new cadastral surveys and in accordance with the law.

County Prefect Zlatko Ževrnja stated that he is pleased that numerous projects will be co-financed in 42 out of a total of 55 local self-government units in Split-Dalmatia County.
