Burilović: Before the Commissioner of Agrokor, the Greatest Economic Challenge in Recent Croatian History

The President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Luka Burilović, welcomed the decision to appoint a commissioner for Agrokor, noting that he faces the greatest economic challenge in recent Croatian history.

The Commercial Court in Zagreb appointed Ante Ramljak as the extraordinary commissioner in Agrokor on Monday at 9:50 AM, at the proposal of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, in accordance with the Law on the Procedure of Extraordinary Administration in Companies of Systemic Importance for the Republic of Croatia.

“I welcome the decision regarding the commissioner, before whom lies the greatest economic challenge in recent Croatian history. Mr. Ramljak has experience and knows the economic conditions as well as the key stakeholders, whose assistance will be crucial in the challenge he faces,” Burilović stated on Monday in a statement for Hina.

“The water is up to the neck, time is short, and it certainly will not be easy,” he warned. “Everyone who can should help. The new commissioner accepts a great responsibility. He has the support of the Government and key stakeholders in society – he must succeed! We do not have the luxury for a different scenario!” emphasized Burilović.
