HUPS presents new standards of business consulting on November 29

The Croatian Association of Business Consultants (HUPS), as a full member of ICMCI (International Council of Management Consulting Institutes) and FEACO (Fédération Européenne des Associations de Conseils en Organisation), has as one of its goals the enhancement of the quality of consulting services in the Republic of Croatia in accordance with international standards. In line with this goal, HUPS is organizing a presentation of two important international standards in the field of business consulting:

§ ISO 20700 – Guidelines for Business Consulting Services
§ ICMCI Certified Management Consultant – CMC©

ISO 20700 is a standard that applies to organizations providing business consulting services, regulating the provision of business consulting services, and was developed as an upgrade to the European standard EN 16114:2011 – Business Consulting Services. Both the European standard and the ISO standard are aimed at increasing transparency and strengthening understanding between clients and providers of business consulting services, in order to achieve better results in business consulting projects. ISO 20700 is in the final stages of development, and its publication is expected in the first quarter of 2017.

ICMCI CMC© is the standard based on which individual business consultants are certified who meet the established professional and ethical criteria, and possess the competencies, knowledge, and skills necessary to provide quality business consulting services.

We at HUPS believe that the application of these standards in business consulting can significantly improve the quality of business consulting services in Croatia.
