Organized by the Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK), Peter Clement, the procurement director of non-food products for the European market of the French retail chain Auchan, is visiting Croatia on November 14 and 15, with the aim of directly connecting with potential Croatian suppliers, HGK reported on Tuesday.
Croatian manufacturers of footwear, textile products, household plastic products, cleaning products, cosmetics, umbrellas, etc., are being presented to Auchan. The visit of Auchan representatives is organized by HGK as part of the action ‘Croatia as a Supply Market’ (‘Croatia Supply Day’), which initiates the arrival of potential foreign importers by organizing direct meetings with Croatian exporters.
Auchan is the third largest retail chain in France and the eleventh largest in Europe, as well as one of the main global distribution chains, present in 16 countries with a total of 330,700 employees in 1,774 supermarkets, with a revenue of 63 billion euros in 2014.
