Biovega has the best controlling project in 2016

The best controlling project in 2016 is Biovega, it was announced at the fourth International Controlling Conference in Croatia organized by the consulting company Kontroling Kognosko in collaboration with the business weekly Lider.

– I am pleased with the level of expertise present at this gathering. Year after year, the quality is increasing – stated during the announcement of the winner, member of the expert jury Prof. Dr. Vinko Belak, a full professor at the Faculty of Economics.

Biovega is a leader in the Croatian market of eco-products and currently employs 170 people. The company, founded by directors Zlatko Pejić and Jadranka Boban Pejić, started operations in 1994, and shortly after they began distributing products in their showcase store, they started selling basic eco-products. The assortment has increased over time, leading to the creation of “bio&bio”, a retail chain of eco-product stores, of which there are now 17 in Croatia.

Niedermayr-Kruse: The lack of controller competencies is a key cause of inefficiency

The way Biovega operates, which has brought them this prestigious award, is credited to Slavica Ribarić, head of finance and accounting, financial analyst Maša Šams Bival, and procurement manager Damir Pavičić, who presented the winning project here.

They described the path of controlling from the SQL database to the current Power BI report in the cloud, which enables more efficient and faster control of descriptions and inventory, monitoring changes in supplier procurement prices, tracking margins for all stores and suppliers, and significantly increased the speed of business control from the store level to the item level.
