Although Microsoft has extensive hardware experience, the Surface Studio is its first entry into the desktop segment, and we can confidently say that it is an impressive entry, even better, completely unexpected.
This all-in-one computer with a 28-inch screen and a resolution of 4500×3000 pixels resembles an iMac at first glance, but the difference it brings is fundamental. The adjustable stand allows the screen to be lowered almost to table level, with a slight tilt, transforming the Surface Studio into a unique tool for creators of various content, such as designers, illustrators, and architects…
Touch-sensitive, with the option to use the Surface Pen (included in the package), this computer allows for a more tactile approach than what we are used to with tablets and smartphones, in addition to traditional use. Hardware configurations are offered with Intel i5 and i7 processors, with 8, 16, or 32 GB of RAM, and hybrid disks of 1 and 2 TB for data storage, along with NVIDIA graphics solutions such as the GeForce GTX 965M and 980M.
The initial reviews of the new computer are excellent, and it seems to us that such a concept could also be interesting to many ordinary computer users. However, the price will be a barrier, as the cheapest Surface Studio will cost $2999.
