A thorough renovation of the McDonald’s restaurant in the Zagreb neighborhood of Kruge will soon be completed, making it the seventh restaurant in Croatia to implement the ‘made for you’ concept. The first such restaurant opened at the end of last year. According to Globalna hrana, the franchise holder of McDonald’s in Croatia, led by Pavel Pavliček, the number of restaurants designed according to the new concept will continue to grow as ‘this is precisely McDonald’s concept of restaurants for the future.’
The novelty is that guests choose what they want at the self-service kiosk, pay by card, receive a receipt and an order number with which they go to the pickup counter, and only then is the food prepared for them. The next step in modernization, McDonald’s representatives say, will be a mobile ordering application to simplify food ordering as much as possible.
