The arches on the beams of the Arena Zagreb sports hall urgently need to be repaired. The paint at the tops has deteriorated, creating an unsightly sight at the very entrance to Zagreb. However, Zagreb Holding states that this is regular maintenance and that the hall will soon be impeccably beautiful again.
– Preparations for painting have been made on the beams or arches, and this is a regular service and maintenance, says Dinka Pančić from the Public Relations of Zagreb Holding.
In general, millions of kuna are spent on maintaining this sports facility, and over 300,000 people pass through the sports hall annually.
– Based on the lease agreement, the obligation of ZGH, i.e., the Arena Zagreb Branch, is to pay the operational costs of the facility, which include: operational costs of the facility (staff costs, cleaning, security, motor vehicles), management costs (technical and fire protection, legally mandated inspections, maintenance of the steel structure, construction monitoring), and maintenance costs of the facility (construction works, electrical equipment, IT equipment, lighting, stands, heating, and cooling). The annual operational costs amount to approximately 9,000,000.00 kuna – reported Pančić.
