The first week of December at Lider traditionally carries a feminine connotation. In addition to the Women in Business conference, where for the sixth consecutive year we declare the most powerful figures in the domestic business scene, December 1 is also reserved for the new issue of the lifestyle magazine Lider trend.
In the winter Lider trend, which will also be promoted at the Women in Business conference, we await a multitude of interesting topics, of which only a few are:
- Fashion and the 90s. Although they were long considered a period when women dressed with the least taste, the 90s are making a comeback in fashion. Leading global trendsetters are wearing chokers, bike shorts, oversized jackets, and claim that this is a complete hit.
- Fashion time travel. When did women become obsessed with lingerie, how has it changed over time, and what are today’s trends?
- Makeup and perfumes. Only the best and trendy in the holiday month.
- Cosmetics. Koreans dominate the beauty world – their routine in intensive skin care to keep looking eternally young, healthy, and fresh has also been adopted by Western women and brands. After the invention of BB cream, which has entered the makeup bags of conscientious beauties, beauty brands are introducing innovations inspired by their Korean competitors. There is no doubt, the East has become a true source of trends in skincare and makeup.
- Skin cleansers. The prerequisite for healthy skin is its cleanliness. Recently, there has been an increasing number of skin cleansers on the market, from mechanical to various types of milks, micellar solutions, or oils. We choose the best.
- Femininity without taboos. Thanks to social media, women are expressing their views on femininity more clearly, protesting against societal expectations, breaking stereotypes about what a woman is or must be, and increasingly fighting for their rights. Lawyers gathered in the Croatian Association of Women Lawyers recently organized a conference on women’s rights in legal regulations and their position in the public, social, and business spheres. They share their conclusions for Trend.
- Guide. It is the time of Advent, an abundance of events, and a festive atmosphere. Zagreb was the most beautiful city in Europe last year. Will it retain the title? What has it prepared this year? What do other Croatian cities offer?
- Phenomena. Who are the humble creators of video games that are not products of large companies, but individuals who dedicate years of work to them, achieving surprising results?

However, the market is flooded with all sorts of options in December, making it easy to get confused and buy a mishmash. How to choose a good sparkling wine, not pay too much, and enjoy it with dishes that go perfectly with golden bubbles?
- Recreation. Since fitness has gained a new dimension thanks to smart wearable technology, running has once again become a true trendy recreation. Running is a must, but it is even healthier and more effective with the help of fitness bracelets and watches. The growing popularity of smart running is evidenced by the fact that in the first nine months of 2016, according to IDC data, 100 million smart fitness devices that track distance, heart rate, and physical activity of runners were sold globally, while 72.2 million units were sold last year.
