How to Achieve Better Results in Business?

Many wonder how others succeed, often comparing themselves and analyzing their achievements in relation to other people or colleagues. Unfortunately, a large number of people spend hours studying others’ offers, brochures, or promotional materials trying to discover that secret ingredient that allows someone to have more work or charge better for what they do. Many accumulate a certain anger or envy towards those they believe do not deserve the success they have. It is crucial to remember that our results begin within us and that analyzing others’ steps will not help much on our own business journey, except to provide useful guidelines to check what we ourselves need to work on.

The key to achieving better results in business is to start thinking more positively, taking into account our own advantages and strengths, while focusing on the value we deliver to others, whether they are clients, colleagues, or business partners. If we thought about providing maximum benefit to the participants in our business, we would have less time to look out the window.

While organizing workshops and business gatherings at Filaks, we often encounter the theme of injustice in business. Many people are still trying to find the ideal middle ground, ideal people, harmonious relationships, and a fair business environment. Unfortunately, as adults, we must admit to ourselves that business activities are quite unfair, as are the results that stem from our actions. The very saying that “in life we do not get what we deserve but what we communicate” speaks to how crucial the representation of what we do is for business results, rather than what we have done.

Many still face challenges with personal promotion or presenting their achievements, talents, or results in public. Many will say that their actions speak louder than words, but is that really the case? Sayings also state that no one will praise us if we do not start praising ourselves. In this regard, there is a difference between praising one’s own achievement and boasting. For example, when we receive positive feedback for the work we do, if we mention it, it is about accepting our own success, but if we start comparing those same results with other people, then we are on the path of boasting, which is a negative phenomenon.

Personal development is crucial for achieving top results in business, as it starts from how we relate to ourselves. People do business with other people, and if we stumble at the first step, in our relationship with ourselves, it is difficult for us to utilize all our knowledge and skills in achieving what we truly deserve. Accepting our abilities, our results, and our differences in the business world is the first step towards progress. It is a shift that can make a significant difference in your business planning and the creation of development and success strategies, which will be discussed further in the next column.
