Inchoo from Osijek, an eCommerce agency that creates, optimizes, and designs web shops on the Magento platform, has translated the Magento 2 platform into Croatian. This is a significant convenience for merchants operating online stores in Croatia, as they can fully tailor their Magento store to the end Croatian customer. Along with the translation visible to the customer, the part intended for the store administrator has also been translated, making their job easier, as product entry, administration, and backend tasks in the store are clearer. Although some other web store creation services have offered this, Magento, as the largest open-source platform for creating online stores, has not had the option of the Croatian language in administration and frontend until now. Therefore, Inchoo has developed a language pack extension that contains a set of translated terms for the administrative and frontend sides of the Magento 2 store. More than 12,000 phrases and terms used in Magento 2 have been translated into Croatian, ready for use and further customization.
Although the Croatian market is small compared to some others, Inchoo states that by localizing Magento, they enable owners to adapt their stores in both technical and legal aspects. Therefore, they are also developing accompanying modules for Magento 2, such as fiscalization, delivery methods, and the most commonly used card payment services in Croatia – the HT PayWay system and the WSpay system.
