The 14th Government of the Republic of Croatia was confirmed in Parliament this evening. A total of 91 representatives voted for Prime Minister Andrej Plenković’s Government, while 45 were against and two abstained.
The vote followed a full day of debate. In his closing speech before the vote of confidence in the Government, designate Andrej Plenković briefly presented his Government’s program and promised that he would strive not to betray the trust placed in him. He emphasized that he would consider all proposals he deems good and useful, even if they come from the opposition.
– The approach I clearly emphasized on Friday is inclusive, it is open. In each of those ideas, there is certainly something positive that can certainly end up in the final legislative solutions, said Plenković.
He also emphasized that the new Government will take care of the protection of minorities, pensioners, and persons with disabilities.
– I believe that this team of people around me will give everything they can. I believe they will do their job responsibly, with the desire to leave a positive and constructive mark as members of the Croatian Government – concluded Plenković.
