The 11th Procurement Conference Opened: Trends, Competencies, and Personalities of Leaders in Procurement

– Take advantage of the potential networking we have at this conference and learn many interesting news in the field of procurement, said Mirela Senica, president of the Croatian Association of Procurement (HUND), as she opened the 11th Procurement Conference.

Senica also presented several updates regarding HUND, which was founded in 1994, and the vision of the association is to enhance the reputation of the procurement profession in Croatia and the region. The website has been redesigned, a LinkedIn profile has been opened, and a professional gathering titled Practical Transformation of Procurement for Top Results has been organized. There is also a plan for a project to select the best supplier in Croatia, and Senica invited all interested parties to participate in this competition.

This year’s conference is titled “Leadership in Procurement,” organized by the Croatian Association of Procurement and the business weekly Lider. Through various lectures, workshops, and round tables, numerous domestic and foreign experts will address current topics in this important segment of business. There will be discussions on trends, competencies, and the personalities of leaders in procurement, user experience with the procurement department, negotiation, and leadership in procurement. The work of the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM) will be personally discussed by its CEO Malcolm Youngson, and conference participants will also hear how experiences from public procurement can assist the private sector.
