Tele2 Employees Completed Safe Driving School

In order to manage the new fleet of vehicles even more safely, and to make all other road participants safer, Tele2 organized a safe driving school for its employees. All 35 participants successfully completed the program and are now certified drivers of the Oryx Safe Driving Center.

Life is learning – a phrase that the employees of Tele2 take seriously, as they recently underwent training at the driving range to ensure that their employees are even more mobile and agile. In line with the principles and values of the company, Tele2 Croatia considered it its obligation and desire to educate employees on how to correctly and safely operate vehicles on the road, ensuring that they and all other road participants are even safer. During several hours of the safe driving school, Tele2 employees completed four modules of vehicle management at the Oryx Safe Driving Center. They received answers to questions about when to apply the brakes, where to turn the steering wheel, and whether to turn it at all in potentially dangerous situations, what to do when the road is slippery, and the vehicle is “not responding”. They had to demonstrate everything they learned by driving in controlled conditions under the supervision of instructors or moderators.

Namely, Tele2 Croatia recently renewed its fleet of official vehicles, and the sales representatives and employees who use them went through the driving range, tested their knowledge, tried their reflexes, and learned how to react in awkward situations that often occur in traffic.

As many as 35 employees of Tele2 received a certificate from the Oryx Safe Driving Center, while a few others will still need to complete the school and earn theirs.

The aforementioned 35 employees were also responsible for transporting their colleagues from Tele2 to the team building event marking the company’s 11th anniversary.

As every year, the anniversary of Tele2 is marked by the joint humanitarian work of its employees, this year was no different. During the two-day gathering, Tele2 employees were divided into teams and received training from experts on the topic of constructing children’s bicycles. Using the instructions, each team ultimately assembled one perfectly functional bicycle on their own. The motivation for their teamwork was heightened by the knowledge that they were working with the goal of helping those in greatest need. In fact, all 22 bicycles were donated by Tele2 and its employees to the students of the Autism Center Zagreb.
