As an active member of the Council for Sustainable Logistics (CNL), cargo-partner supports the implementation of projects for sustainable urban and warehouse logistics. CNL is located at the Center for Global Change and Sustainability at the Faculty of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna. Their primary goal is to accelerate the introduction of electric truck usage.
The transport and info-logistics service provider cargo-partner is one of 15 companies in the logistics and manufacturing sector that have joined the Council for Sustainable Logistics (CNL). Members of this initiative, which is unique of its kind in Europe, are taking steps to implement sustainable logistics solutions. CNL is located at the Center for Global Change and Sustainability at the Faculty of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna. The initiative is also supported by the Institute for Production and Logistics as well as the Institute for Transport Studies.
Progress in the Use of Electric Trucks
One of the first goals is the transition to electric vehicles in urban distribution. In coordination with the truck manufacturer MAN, CNL members are rapidly accelerating this progress, including the supply of test vehicles weighing between 18-26 tons. In 2019, member companies of the CNL council will begin testing distribution with these vehicles under the careful supervision of MAN. In addition to the transition to electric vehicles, CNL is working on implementing solutions for sustainable urban and warehouse logistics.
Sustainable Logistics by cargo-partner
Stefan Krauter, CEO of cargo-partner, has long supported the use of electric trucks in urban logistics. By constructing an energy-efficient Logistics Center, cargo-partner is now taking a significant step in sustainable warehouse logistics.
