The technical government is expected to decide on two new strategic investment projects at its meeting on Wednesday, as well as adopt the Program for the Development of the Vocational Education and Training System for the period from 2016 to 2020. The strategic investment projects are expected to become the Autocamp Punta Nova project and the Hotel Park 5* project in Rovinj.
The total cost of Autocamp Punta Nova is 139.3 million kuna, and the investor is the company Nova Camping. It will be built in the Municipality of Povijana on Pag and includes the construction, equipping, and commencement of operations of a high-category camp (5*). It is planned to arrange 500 camping plots, 85 camping sites, 4 sanitary facilities, and 250 mobile homes with a total accommodation capacity of 2,200 people, along with creating conditions for the employment of 20 permanent and up to 145 seasonal workers, as well as indirectly employing another 40 employees in the facilities that will be rented out. Autocamp Punta Nova also includes catering and commercial facilities, a water park, wellness, a sports hall, and sports fields.
The value of the “Hotel Park 5*, Rovinj” project is 539 million kuna, and the investor is Rovinj’s Maistra. The hotel will be built in Rovinj and includes the replacement of the existing building of the Park 3* hotel with the construction of a luxury tourist facility. Year-round operation of the hotel is planned, with a capacity of 209 accommodation units, of which 190 are exclusive rooms and 20 apartments, with a total of about 500 beds, a large part of which will have small private outdoor pools. The new Hotel Park will offer not only top-category accommodation but also additional facilities such as a Wellness and SPA center with outdoor and indoor pools, conference-concert halls, etc. The realization of the Hotel Park project is expected to create 85 new jobs.
