The leaders of Dalmacijavino and Borovo signed a cooperation agreement on Tuesday in Split, under which Borovo will supply 150 pairs of boots to grape pickers on 250 hectares of vineyards in Drniš, and will also produce sneakers with the embossed logo of the Pipi juice produced by Dalmacijavino.
– The grape harvest in our vineyard in Drniš started yesterday and will last for 45 days, and this protective work footwear is of high quality. We hope that the agreement signed today will be the beginning of a long-term cooperation, as the production of sneakers with the Pipi logo will begin at Borovo next spring, said Luka Diel-Zadro, CEO of Dalmacijavino.
According to him, it is important that cooperation is established between two Croatian companies, as this contributes to the development of the Croatian economy, and other companies could follow such an example. The brand manager of Borovo, Dubravko Šimenc, emphasized that the agreement is being made in the year when Borovo celebrates its 85th anniversary, and Pipi its 40th anniversary of production at Dalmacijavino.
– Dalmacijavino is a private company, while Borovo is a state-owned company, but both are originally Croatian manufacturers, Šimenc emphasized.
As it is learned, Dalmacijavino sold nearly two million bottles of Pipi in four months since the start of production, and sales of other products are also on the rise. This year, a yield of 1.2 million kilograms of grapes is expected from the vineyards in Drniš.
Dalmacijavino currently employs 83 workers and 120 seasonal workers in the vineyards in Drniš and on Hvar.
