DIV Tomislav Debeljaka is Preparing for the Construction of the Largest Wind Farm in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The plans of the DIV group are related to the shipbuilding sector, as well as the energy sector, where it aims to position itself as a producer of electricity from renewable sources and energy from multi-generational plants (electric, thermal, cooling) powered by natural gas. Preparations are underway for the construction of the largest wind farm in Bosnia and Herzegovina, near Tomislavgrad, which is expected to begin construction next year. DIV would be responsible for the wind turbine towers, while partners, with whom contracts have not yet been signed, would be responsible for other components, and their names are not disclosed.

The Group’s plan is to install wind farms with a total capacity of 400 MW to 600 MW in Croatia and the region by 2017, with a tendency to increase investments in expanding existing locations and new capacities at onshore and offshore sites. Additionally, DIV has developed a project for the construction of an ecological trigeneration LNG power plant and energy facility in Split, for which it has submitted a request for construction permits.

– We have an extensive network of contacts with international companies, so our investments would expand beyond the borders of the Beautiful Croatia. We will provide jobs to our international partners in the domestic market, and they will open their markets to us for Brodosplit products – say the representatives of DIV Tomislav Debeljaka.

Another major DIV investment is planned for next year – a new concrete sleeper factory in Sisak worth ten million euros. The new factory will have a capacity of about half a million sleepers per year and will employ around fifty workers.
