Will Croatian entrepreneurs soon receive loans from commercial banks at favorable interest rates, similar to those of their colleagues in other European countries? Minister of Entrepreneurship Darko Horvat announces financing at almost unimaginable interest rates.
According to HRT, banks would offer entrepreneurs more favorable interest rates because the state would guarantee 80% of the loans, thus reducing the risk. The cost of the remaining interest would only be offset by a subsidy from the Agency for Small Economy.
This subsidization program will start in mid-September. One of the prerequisites is that banks offer lower interest rates. Only with the bank’s discount and state co-financing would the financing cost be reduced to almost minimal levels – at 0%.
