By the end of June, new trash bins – citybox, will be installed across Zagreb, totaling 700. The new bins were donated by the company Dobra reklama. A total of 1400 units will be installed, with the remainder to be set up by the end of June next year. According to Igor Maksimilijanović, the director of Dobra reklama, the idea is to create a win-win situation, or an excellent synergy between the private sector and the City, led by Milan Bandić.

– We donated the bins and we take care of them, not the City. So, if they are damaged, we repair and service them – says Maksimilijanović.

Although he did not want to discuss specific numbers, the price of one bin is around 1400 kuna, which means an investment of 1.9 million kuna. On the other hand, the City of Zagreb will receive 400,000 kuna per year for advertising space over the next 15 years, which is the duration of the concession for the bins, similar to other companies engaged in advertising like Euro plakat or Zagreb plakat. Thus, over the next 15 years, Dobra reklama will pay the City around six million kuna for advertising space. Regarding the revenue he expects, Maksimilijanović states that it would be unprofessional to comment.

– We are working on the price list. We will offer packages to advertisers, so for example, a spot in Ban Jelačić Square will likely be linked to several other locations, so I cannot tell you whether the price will be 100 or 300 kuna. The price list should be ready in the next 15 days – emphasizes Maksimilijanović.
