Terrakom Achieved Revenue Growth of 213 Percent in 2015 Compared to the Previous Year

The significant increase in revenue is primarily the result of strong cost optimization through restructuring and consolidation of the processes for acquiring private and business customers, as well as a noticeable improvement in service quality on its own optical infrastructure.

The domestic telecom operator Terrakom concluded the year 2015 with a total revenue of 50.5 million kuna, achieving a growth of 213 percent compared to the previous year. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) amounted to 1.9 million kuna što is also an increase of 60% compared to 2014.

The significant increase in revenue is primarily the result of strong cost optimization through restructuring and consolidation of the processes for acquiring private and business customers, as well as a noticeable improvement in service quality on its own optical infrastructure. This is further supported by the fact that the demand for internet packages on the Terrakom network has been continuously increasing, with the number of requests for such packages growing by more than 70 percent in the last six months.

– Over the past year, we have upgraded our network to the DOCSIS 3.0 standard, which has further enhanced service quality and brought internet speeds up to 100 Mbps. With some of the most favorable package prices in the domestic telecom market, this has resulted in significantly lower customer churn, stabilization of the customer base, and an increase in the number of new customers. Our overall efforts over the past year have resulted in increased brand recognition as a telecom operator with the ideal ratio of low price and excellent quality, stated Igor Tatarević, CEO of Terrakom.

At this moment, Terrakom connects residential customers on its own network via FTTH, FTTB, and FTTN optical connections. With its own infrastructure, it is present in over 25,000 apartments in the areas of Zagreb, Sesvete, and Kutina, while the rest of Croatia is covered through traditional telephone lines (ADSL and VDSL). Strong growth has also been achieved in the business customer segment, where, in addition to the most favorable optical internet connections with speeds of 100/100 Mbps, it offers IP telephony services, cloud hosting, cloud virtual servers, and colocation. Hosting and colocation of equipment are provided in its own data center located on Radnička Street in Zagreb.

Strategic goals for 2016 include expanding the availability of services on its own infrastructure through network construction, as well as potential acquisitions and finalizing the upgrade of its own network to the DOCSIS 3 standard and internet speeds of up to 100 Mbps for residential customers.
