Uber Reduces Prices in Zagreb by 25 Percent

Six months after arriving in Zagreb, Uber is reducing prices by an additional 25 percent starting Tuesday, April 26.

With the increase in business in Zagreb, the number of Uber partner-drivers has also grown, aiming to be not only the most affordable option for getting around the city but also the best platform for drivers.

“Uber’s main goal is to provide people with a simple, safe, and affordable option for getting around the city with just the press of a button on their phone. With these changes, we believe that more and more people in the Zagreb area will leave their cars at home and use Uber to reach their desired destinations,” emphasized Davor Tremac, General Manager of Uber in Croatia.

The price change can also be beneficial for partner-drivers who need to reduce waiting times between rides and shorten the journey to the passenger’s pickup location. By lowering prices, Uber will become more accessible to a larger number of citizens, thereby reducing the waiting time for partner-drivers and shortening the journey to the passenger’s location, they claim at Uber.

They highlight that experiences with price reductions have been positive for both passengers and partner-drivers worldwide over the past five and a half years of Uber’s operations. A good example is New York, where prices have decreased by 30 percent over the years, while partner-driver earnings have increased by 50 percent.
