From July 4, you will be able to register a domain with diacritical marks

For the first time since the existence of the .hr domain, procedures and conditions for the registration of domains composed of one or two alphanumeric characters and domains with diacritical marks have been established.

CARNet reports that registration will be possible from July 4, 2016, at 12 PM. Domains will be registered as before, according to the principle of temporal priority, without giving preference to any natural or legal person. Additionally, domains with diacritical marks č, ć, đ, š, and ž will be possible to register as free or paid, depending on the fulfillment of the conditions from the Regulations and the wishes of the users.

A new feature is the permission to change the user for paid domains, which will be possible from September 1 of this year, and for which the .hr Domain Management Commission has warned all domain users about the importance of correctly entered data under the .hr domain. Special emphasis has been placed on the user’s email address through which the domain is managed, as irreversible actions can also be performed. The domain user is considered responsible for the accuracy of the specified email address, and all activities performed through that address are deemed valid.

Domain prices for end users will be defined by registrars, and the price list of CARNet’s services according to registrars is available at this address.
