Omiš Mayor Ivan Kovačić stated today that his further cooperation with HDZ at the national level has ended and is no longer possible.
Kovačić told Slobodna Dalmacija that he is saddened that HDZ has chosen Ivan Škaričić as its new/old president of the Omiš branch. He is saddened, he says, both by local and national politics, as this, in his opinion, is a clear sign of the direction HDZ intends to take.
– Anyone who is unable to implement reform within their own ranks is certainly not capable of making reforms for the general welfare of society. As far as I am concerned, further cooperation with HDZ at the national level has ended and is no longer possible; in the Parliament, as well as in other bodies, they should not count on my support, and Most will express its position on everything in a few days – said Kovačić.
