The Investment Forum of Northwestern Croatia was opened today in Varaždin at the premises of the County Chamber, and alongside this event, the LIDER invest project will be presented to the attendees, showcasing the best large, medium, and small manufacturing investments in Croatia.
The competition, which was opened on April 12, will last until July 15 of this year, and its mission is to recognize and promote investments that create new jobs, increase exports, and generate added value.
– We did not choose Northwestern Croatia by chance to start our LIDER tour. This region has the highest number of nominated investments, and we are very much aware of its potential. We started from here to show others how it should be done – stated Miodrag Šajatović, the editor-in-chief of Lider, at the opening of the forum.
Čedomil Cesarec, president of the Varaždin County Chamber, emphasized on this occasion that such a forum is necessary to demonstrate that investments can be carried out despite obstacles and to present to the public that there are capable people in Croatia.
– I must commend domestic investors who have proven to be much better for our county than foreign ones. They pay workers more, thus having a more satisfied and efficient workforce. The only county better than ours in terms of investments is Zagreb County – concluded Predrag Štromar, the Varaždin County Prefect.
At the Investment Forum of Northwestern Croatia, interested parties will be able to obtain information and share knowledge on how they can co-finance their investment projects, what difficulties they face when starting new manufacturing investments, and how representatives of local government and public institutions can assist them in their entrepreneurial plans.
