The promotional film of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board “Dubrovnik and Time” won a bronze medal at the prestigious film and television festival in New York, “New York Festivals World’s Best TV & Films,” the Dubrovnik Tourist Board reported on Wednesday.
“Dubrovnik and Time” won the bronze medal in strong competition from 50 countries around the world, being the only film from Croatia, as stated in the press release, noting that the judging panel that decided on the winners consisted of 200 media representatives from about 30 countries.
The award ceremony took place on April 19 in Las Vegas, and the award was accepted on behalf of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board by Ina Rodin, director of the Croatian National Tourist Board office in the USA.
Also present at the award ceremony was the producer of the film “Dubrovnik and Time” Spomenka Saraga. The film was shot during the past year, produced by the Zagreb production company “Balduči film,” with an international creative team led by director Herves Tirmache.
This is the second award for the film “Dubrovnik and Time,” following its second place at the film festival “Das goldene Stadttor” at the world’s largest tourism fair ITB in Berlin, competing against 1500 films from 43 countries, according to the Dubrovnik Tourist Board.
