In the ongoing race in the premium segment of smartphones, large companies like Apple and Samsung dominate, but others are also striving to secure their position in the market with increasingly high-quality models.
Huawei has recently introduced the new P9 smartphone, which stands out as the first smartphone designed and manufactured in collaboration with the renowned company Leica Camera AG. The device features a dual camera that, as emphasized by Huawei, pushes the boundaries of smartphone photography. The camera is distinguished by high-quality photos even in low-light conditions, and it is worth highlighting the Hybrid Focus technology that achieves speed, accuracy, and stability in captured images. The P9 supports focusing based on three methodologies – laser, depth measurement, and contrast – and automatically selects the one that provides the best results under given conditions.
When it comes to other features, the P9 has a 5.2-inch 1080p display and a 3000 mAh battery. Alongside this model, Huawei introduced the slightly larger P9 Plus with a 5.5-inch Press Touch display and a more powerful 3400 mAh battery. The P9 Plus also offers dual-IC fast charging, allowing users six hours of talk time after just ten minutes of charging. A convenient feature supported by both models is the so-called virtual triple antenna architecture, designed for users who need strong and simple connectivity to mobile and Wi-Fi networks. The price for the P9 version with 32 GB starts at 599 euros, while the starting price for the 64 GB version is 649 euros. The P9 Plus device with 64 GB will cost 749 euros.
