Owner of Karlovačko Beer Takes Over Laško Group’s Operations in Croatia

In early April, the process of acquiring Laško Grupa d.o.o., a Croatian company previously owned by Pivovarna Laško from Slovenia, was completed. Laško Grupa is now fully integrated into Heineken Hrvatska d.o.o.

Following the completion of the acquisition and merger, Heineken Hrvatska has taken over the operational business of Laško Grupa, acquiring 100 percent of the business shares from Pivovarna Laško.  The agreement for the takeover followed Heineken’s acquisition of Pivovarna Laško and Union in Slovenia.

Heineken Hrvatska, the owner of Karlovačka Brewery, firmly holds the second position in the Croatian beer market. This move strengthens Heineken Hrvatska’s beer family, which now includes well-known brands Laško and Union, including Union radlers and Specijal beer.

Laško Grupa employs around thirty people who, upon completion of the process, became employees of Heineken Hrvatska, and all previous rights and obligations of Laško Grupa are assumed by Heineken Hrvatska.
