Šešelj is not guilty! He has been acquitted on all counts of the indictment

The Trial Chamber of the International Criminal Court has acquitted Vojislav Šešelj on all counts of the indictment for war crimes in Croatia, Vojvodina, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) today delivered an acquittal verdict for Vojislav Šešelj, the leader of the Serbian radicals accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed from 1991 to 1993 against the non-Serb population in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and against the Croats of Vojvodina, whom he incited through hate speech and by sending his volunteer forces to Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Trial Chamber determined that Šešelj is not guilty of any of the nine counts of the indictment, said Judge Jean-Claude Antonetti. The Chamber reached a majority decision on almost all counts, with a dissenting opinion from Judge Flavia Latanci, the media reports.

Šešelj was charged with three counts of crimes against humanity and six counts of violations of the laws or customs of war.
