The Croatian Tourist Board is organizing IT duty services during the Easter holidays to support the implementation of the eVisitor system, it was announced on Friday by HTZ.
The eVisitor system started on January 1 of this year and is used for the registration and deregistration of tourists, as well as for the collection and processing of data about accommodation service providers and their accommodation facilities. It is important for the calculation and control of the collection of the residence tax, as well as for the processing and analysis of data for statistical reports, and is available free of charge to all users via the internet as a web application.
The obligated parties are accommodation service providers, of which there are more than 60,000 registered in Croatia, and around 300 tourist boards and state administration bodies, such as the Tourist Inspection, the Ministry of the Interior-MUP, the Tax Administration, the Customs Administration, the State Bureau of Statistics, etc.
– This is the first year of the implementation of the eVisitor system, and precisely for this reason, we want to provide maximum support to our system and end users in the practical application of the system. In line with this, and considering the increased tourist traffic expected in the coming days, we have also organized special duty services during the upcoming Easter holidays, during which our IT service will be constantly available for additional clarifications and instructions, said the director of the HTZ Main Office, Ratomir Ivičić, in the statement.
