With the aim of further improving the energy efficiency of the Rijeka Oil Refinery, INA will develop an energy efficiency study for RNR, supported by Neste Jacobs, a renowned technology, engineering, and project management company.
In preparing the energy efficiency study, Neste Jacobs will apply its own NJe2 concept, which will analyze current energy consumption, energy sources, and means of energy production and consumption within the refinery and in the logistics terminal area. The goal is to highlight feasible opportunities for improving energy efficiency in accordance with INA’s energy management system under the ISO 50001:2011 certification.
– Neste Jacobs possesses the right combination of competencies to develop the energy efficiency study for INA. We already have experience collaborating with Neste Jacobs in other areas, and I am confident that their comprehensive and detailed approach will achieve excellent results that will contribute to our ongoing efforts to improve the energy efficiency of RNR, said Bengt Oldsberg, INA’s Executive Director for Refineries and Marketing.
– We are very pleased to develop an energy efficiency study for INA’s refinery in Rijeka, said Jarmo Suominen, CEO of Neste Jacobs, adding, This is an important step for Neste Jacobs in the international breakthrough of our NJe2 energy efficiency solutions for the hydrocarbon industry, specifically in this case for oil refining.
