The performance of the two hundred largest players in the financial market last year and their expectations for this year are detailed in the special Lider edition Who is Who: Who is Who in the Financial Industry.
Along with rankings featuring the most recent data on the operations of banks, šavings banks, and housing šavings banks, insurance and reinsurance companies, pension and investment fund management companies, leasing companies, as well as the operations of other financial activities including, for example, card companies and factoring companies, it can be read, among other things, that the banking sector continues to benefit from a high level of liquidity and that loans, according to estimates from the European Commission, could soon start to grow. Last year, data shows, 15 out of 28 banks reported losses.
It is also explained, among other things, who benefits from student loans, why companies in the leasing market are shutting down, and whether factoring companies are declining – only to grow. Pension funds have announced that they can inject 25.2 billion kuna into the economy, but also that they want to manage companies if they invest in them.
The special Who is Who: Who is Who in the Financial Industry also deals with the alternative that bankers would gladly marry – fintech companies, and it has been on the market with Lider since March 11 (March 10 on the Zagreb market).
