Tehnix is an important factor in the concept where everything is recycled

Tehnix is a leading eco-industry in the production of machines and equipment that serve to protect the environment and is becoming a regional and global leader. Its technology is recognized worldwide, hopefully it will be in Croatia as well.

Last week, seven local government units in Međimurje signed a decision to join the international strategy ‘Zero Waste 2020.’ (the zero waste concept, i.e., everything is recycled). By doing so, they joined the ranks of the best European practices in waste management and committed to achieving a goal of 70 percent separately collected waste by 2020. The ceremonial signing of the decision was attended by representatives of local units, utility companies, eco-associations, and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Nature, as well as Minister Slaven Dobrović, who had the opportunity to visit the composting facility in Prelog, the recycling yard, and the sorting facility equipped by Tehnix Đure Horvata and the company’s plants.

In addition to already having the best results in waste management, Međimurje also produces the necessary equipment for it. Tehnix is a leading eco-industry in the production of machines and equipment that serve to protect the environment and is becoming a regional and global leader that exports almost 80 percent of its production, or 20 million euros. Their innovative MBO-T technology, which provides the best results in waste management with minimal costs and is an important part of the zero waste concept and circular economy, has received numerous global recognitions. That this technology is recognized worldwide is confirmed by contracts from Iran, Ghana, Egypt, and other countries. However, all of this means little to Tehnix in Croatia, where it has applied for tenders to equip regional centers but has not yet managed to market its technology. With the new government and new strategy, as well as a waste management plan that is to be developed, it may succeed.
