Ivan Mrvoš’s Solar Bench in Front of the European Parliament

Young Croatian inventor from Solin, Ivan Mrvoš, today presented his new model of the solar bench “Steora” in front of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

The twenty-year-old from Solin showcased the bench at the invitation of MEP Tonino Picula. Unlike the original model he created last July, this one also allows for wireless charging of mobile devices and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Namely, it is enough to simply place the phone on the bench and charging begins.

– The new bench has a water cooling system, ideal air purification, and each bench comes with an internet module. I already have pre-orders from Croatia and neighboring countries, and the opportunity to present the bench in Europe makes me very happy, said Mrvoš during the presentation of the bench.

The solar bench, weighing about 60 kilograms, which attracted great attention in Strasbourg, has been installed in about ten cities in Croatia and abroad.

– I invited this creative young man here because the European Parliament is a place where one comes to lobby and where many advocate for their special interests. I believe one cannot wish for a better stage for presentation than the European Parliament, emphasized MEP Picula, adding:

– This will not remain just a one-time exhibition, but primarily through my office, such a commendable invention created in Croatia will receive additional promotion.

Picula added that presentations in European institutions, of which the European Parliament is the most important, open up the possibility for people with ideas to present themselves in the best possible way and to generate interest not only from the people passing by but also from the business community.
