Croatian Froddo and AutoZubak Surpass Cadillac and UBS

After being inducted into the global REBRAND Hall of Fame in 2015, among the best branding agencies in the world, brand consultants from the Croatian Brandoctor continue to achieve the highest global recognitions. For the eighth consecutive year, they have won the most prestigious global award in the field of rebranding, the REBRAND100® Global Awards, for their work on three Croatian brands.

They received a special Distinction award for the rebranding of Froddo and AutoZubak, while they were awarded a Merit award for the rebranding of Degordian. These Croatian brands competed with brands from 42 countries, and with their achieved results, they found themselves alongside or even ahead of some of the leading global brands such as Land Rover, Cadillac, Alitalia, Southwest Airlines, and UBS.

Anaezi Modu, the founder of REBRAND, emphasized: “This year’s list of winners offers an excellent lesson on why a good rebranding strategy is crucial in creating a successful brand regardless of the industry.”

Anja Bauer Minkara, director and senior brand consultant at Brandoctor, stated: “Fresh, relevant ideas, positioning, and design that touch the hearts of consumers played a decisive role in this year’s jury evaluation. We were awarded for three brands that created demand not only in Croatia but also in the European Union. Thanks to this, they have grown in the market and increased their financial value.”

The business results achieved by Froddo, AutoZubak, and Degordian after rebranding confirm and testify to the importance of brand strategy for overall business. After rebranding, Froddo achieved a 20% growth in the Croatian market and increased the number of foreign customers by 60%. AutoZubak achieved a 13% increase in new car sales, while Degordian achieved a 43% increase in revenue and expanded its business to over 20 foreign markets within a year and a half of launching the brand.

The success of these projects was also contributed to by the implementation of Brandoctor’s brand strategy by the agencies Brigada and Bruketa&Žinić OM, as well as external collaborators Igor Manasteriotti and Mia Marić for graphic design, and illustrator BooBoo Tannenbaum.

“Regardless of the size, country, or industry from which the brand comes, what makes strong and memorable brands is the same – the ability to touch not only our mind but also our heart, to move us in a way that is sometimes hard to define,” stated Kristin Volk, this year’s jury member and chief strategic planner at New York’s Saatchi&Saatchi Wellness.

The Croatian agency Brandoctor, with these awards, has found itself among the leading global companies in the industry such as Interbrand, Landor, and FutureBrand, whose clients include global brands BMW, Prada, Siemens, Samsung, Microsoft, Philips, Lavazza, Pirelli, Bacardi, and others.
