Samsung has introduced the highly anticipated flagship smartphones from its Galaxy series – the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. Premium design, enhanced camera, and advanced software capabilities are the most important novelties.
These two mobile phones feature a Dual Pixel camera that allows for brighter and sharper photos even in low-light conditions. It enables faster shutter speeds and more precise autofocus, while Motion Panorama brings movement to traditional panoramic photos.
The S7 has a screen diagonal of 5.1 inches, while the S7 edge model measures 5.5 inches. They are made with curved glass and metal, and are also waterproof and dust resistant. Regarding the interface, the new Edge UX menu, available on the Galaxy S7 edge model, offers shortcuts to favorite applications and features such as access to email, selfies, or panoramic mode. There is also the option for fast wired or wireless battery charging, and both models are equipped with a so-called hybrid SIM card tray, which allows for the insertion of a microSD memory card with a capacity of up to 200 gigabytes. In some markets, Samsung states, this tray will allow for the insertion of a second SIM card into the device.
Both models are equipped with the Vulkan application programming interface for rich graphics, while consuming less battery power. The S7 and S7 edge will be available in Croatia in mid-March of this year, and pre-orders for users from Europe have already begun.
