Beijing is the New Capital of Billionaires

The ranking of cities with the highest number of world billionaires varies depending on the specialized publication and the methods used to compile the list of the richest, particularly between Forbes, Bloomberg, and Hurun.

Beijing has taken the title of “world capital of billionaires” from New York, with 100 listed billionaires compared to 95 in the American metropolis. This is revealed by a study from the specialized Chinese magazine Hurun, reported by USA Today and relayed by Fortune. Moscow ranks third with “only” 66 billionaires.

Of course, this study is just one of many conducted by, among others, Bloomberg and Forbes, and the ranking depends on the methods used to compile the list. Last year, Greater China – which includes Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau – surpassed the United States in the number of billionaires. The research reveals that the number of super-rich Chinese residing in Beijing has increased by 32 compared to last year, while only four more were added in New York.
