Viadukt submitted the highest quality bid for the construction of a bridge over the Sava on corridor Vc

The Croatian company “Viadukt” has submitted the highest quality bid for the construction of a bridge over the Sava, which is intended to connect Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the highway on corridor Vc.

This was reported on Wednesday by the Sarajevo “Dnevni avaz,” citing sources from the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Bosnia and Herzegovina. “Viadukt” submitted its application for the bridge construction tender in a consortium with the company “Hering” from Široki Brijeg, and the expert committee composed of representatives from the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Bosnia and Herzegovina and “Croatian Highways” concluded that it is indeed the most complete and offers the most favorable price.

“Viadukt” and “Hering” offered to construct the bridge, which is 660 meters long and 29 meters wide, within a period of 730 days. They estimated that the execution of such a project costs 26.9 million euros.

There were also bids with lower prices submitted to the tender, such as that from “Integral Engineering” from Laktaši in Bosnia and Herzegovina and a consortium that included “Zagreb-montaža,” but the tender committee rejected them, assessing that they were of poor quality or lacked documentation.

The start of the bridge construction is still awaiting approval from the European Investment Bank (EIB) as the main investor.
The process of selecting a contractor for the construction of the new bridge over the Sava has been ongoing for five years. So far, two tenders have been canceled, and one in which the Austrian “Strabag” won failed because Bosnia and Herzegovina did not secure the necessary documentation in time, leading the Austrian company to withdraw from the construction and file a lawsuit for damages.
