Slovenian IMPOL is one step away from taking over TLM’s debts and entering the factory. Representatives of the Slovenian company are arriving in Šibenik today.
Their arrival has been confirmed by the bankruptcy trustee Branko Morić and the office of the Šibenik-Knin County Prefect. HRT unofficially learns that IMPOL has agreed to purchase with the Adriatic Bank in bankruptcy, as the largest creditor of TLM. Allegedly, everything has been agreed upon with the ministries of finance and economy, so the Croatian Parliament is expected to formally agree on Thursday to take over TLM’s debt to the Adriatic Bank, given that the state is restructuring that banking house.
If this materializes, IMPOL would have a decisive vote at the company assembly scheduled for March 9. It is expected that IMPOL will first lease the factory and start production, and then become its owner.
Responding to journalists’ questions after the Government session, Finance Minister Zdravko Marić stated in Banski Dvori that certain proposals for solving TLM’s problems have emerged and that “names, or rather the name of a potential investor, are already being mentioned in the media.” He emphasized that he cannot confirm media reports that it is a Slovenian investor, as he personally did not participate in discussions with them.
– I think we are close to a solution and I sincerely hope that we will accomplish this in the next few days, said Finance Minister Zdravko Marić, adding that he is also observing the TLM issue from the perspective of the banking system.
