The new composition of the Assembly of the Croatian Chamber of Economy will include more small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, it was announced on Monday at the Assembly meeting of HGK.
At the meeting, a decision was also made to call elections for members of this body for the period from 2016 to 2020. The president of HGK, Luka Burilović, stated that the number of assembly members is increasing from 77 to 95 in order to involve more small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in the work of the Assembly. This will mean that entrepreneurs operating within the HGK association will also be members of the Assembly.
Burilović reflected on the reorganization of the Chamber, which, as stated by HGK, was carried out practically overnight, with a budget reduction of 35 percent, improved quality, and the introduction of new services.
– Reform is a process that is still ongoing. We are working on redefining the role of HGK through new services and public authorities, which will be part of the Strategy of the Croatian Chamber of Economy for the period 2016 – 2020, emphasized Burilović, adding that he expects the Chamber to be a true partner to the Government.
