Panenić: We will identify private companies of strategic importance, public administration will not be an obstacle to business

In this Government, there is a consensus that we need to save, but what I can guarantee you is that we will not save on economic diplomacy – said Minister of Economy Tomislav Panenić to representatives of domestic export companies at the 18th meeting of members of the Lider Exporters Club in the Kraš Auditorium.

– In this Government, there is a consensus that we need to save, but what I can guarantee you is that we will not save on economic diplomacy – Minister Panenić stated, adding that along with identifying strategic companies in state ownership, it is necessary to identify strategic companies in private ownership.

– We will work the most on ensuring that public administration is not an obstacle to your business – emphasized the Minister of Economy.

Panenić announced that he would reunite the State Inspectorate into one entity and instead of sanctions for violations, he would introduce warnings.

At the beginning, Damir Bulić, the CEO of Kraš, greeted the attendees. He stated that Kraš produces 35,000 tons of confectionery products worth one billion kuna, of which 47 percent of the products are exported. He also boasted about double-digit growth rates but mentioned that Kraš needs a little wind in its sails from the Government.

During the continuation of the Meeting, Minister Panenić will hear firsthand concrete proposals for encouraging exports. The Export Dashboard and assessments of the export climate will also be presented, followed by a round table on the expectations of exporters from the new government.
