The State Electoral Commission (DIP) announced on Monday that the statement by the First Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Karamarko (HDZ) regarding the existence of indications of the theft of parliamentary mandates raises doubts about the accuracy of the election results, which is why DIP will file a criminal complaint with the State Attorney’s Office of the Republic of Croatia (DORH) against an unknown perpetrator for the possible commission of the criminal offense of electoral fraud.
– The statement by Tomislav Karamarko, the First Deputy Prime Minister, raises doubts about the accuracy of the election results through the claim of the existence of indications of “theft” of mandates. Due to this, DIP will file a criminal complaint with DORH against an unknown perpetrator for the possible commission of the criminal offense of electoral fraud, states DIP.
Media reports indicate that DIP has communicated that a possible further statement from the Commission will follow depending on the actions of DORH.
We remind you that Karamarko stated on Saturday in Imotski that there are indications that on election night the Patriotic Coalition was robbed of five or six mandates and announced that this will be investigated. He then expressed hope on his Facebook profile on Sunday that the relevant state authorities would speak about how the company APIS came into state ownership during the rule of the SDP, which had complete control over the electoral rolls and the counting of votes in the parliamentary elections, and emphasized that this would be the beginning of shedding light on what happened on election night from November 8 to 9, 2015.
