Consolidation of the Cadastre and Land Registry is Minister Kuščević’s Priority

The new Minister of Construction and Spatial Planning, Lovro Kuščević, stated on Monday, while taking over the Ministry from the outgoing Minister Anka Mrak Taritaš, that his main priority will be the consolidation of the cadastre and land registry.

– The handover went in an expectedly good tone, and I thank Ms. Anka Mrak Taritaš for her sincerity and the manner in which she handed over the Ministry to me. We will continue in the good direction in which the Ministry has started, we will correct things that can be improved and initiate some new projects, said Kuščević during the handover.

As new significant projects that his ministry will primarily focus on, Kuščević highlighted the beginning of the consolidation of the cadastre and land registry, which, he said, is a process that will accelerate investments and make life easier for citizens. He also mentioned incentivized housing construction, that is, subsidized loans for housing construction, as well as cartography and improvements to the laws.

– This is a whole series of measures that will soon be visible, says Kuščević.

The outgoing Minister of Construction and Spatial Planning, Anka Mrak Taritaš, stated that this ministry has accomplished a number of large and significant tasks in the past four years and that there is no reason why this should not continue.

– I had excellent discussions with the minister and learned that the new minister’s plans are in line with what we were doing. We talked about the e-permit, about POS, and about a number of other projects. Our projects were concrete and should just be continued, emphasized Mrak Taritaš.
