One of the pioneers of destination management in Croatia, the travel agency Danubium tours, has extended the tourist season in Vukovar with tours on the Danube organized on an electric glass boat.
The director of Danubium, Zrinka Šesto, explained that the boat was financed with its own funds and a loan from HBOR, totaling 1.8 million kuna, and the boat was launched on the river for the first time in October last year.
– After an excellent Advent season, we are seeing the highest number of domestic guests coming to Vukovar at this time. The main motivation for visiting our city is memorial tourism, but the time has come to offer guests some positive stories – stated Šesto. In addition to tours on the Danube, Danubium organizes thematic programs for tourists such as ‘Paths of Vukovar Defenders’, grape harvesting, team building activities that rely on the tradition and history of the Vukovar region, eno-gastro programs, etc.
