Dell has introduced a refreshed series of laptops for business users, the Latitude 5000, equipped with the sixth generation of Intel Quad Core processors and new security solutions.
Available in 14-inch (E5470) and 15-inch (E5570) forms, the new Latitude is up to 27 percent thinner and up to 18 percent lighter, making it ideal for mobile users. These computers are designed for the highest level of security with Dell’s own encryption, malware protection, and authentication options. An additional layer of protection is offered with the option to integrate smart cards and touch fingerprint readers that isolate security operations through the Dell Control Vault. This tool processes and stores critical authentication data on a dedicated chip, reducing the risk of malware entering private information. The computers are built with the highest level of reliability – Dell claims they are the most durable business laptops in the world, having undergone more military standard tests than any other model.
