After an article about Uber was published in the latest issue of the weekly Lider and on the portal liderpress.hr, specifically regarding how American lawyers are drafting a lawsuit against the state for unfounded penalties, Uber has sent a response.
Uber has responded to the article ‘Uber Strikes Back – American Lawyers File a Lawsuit Against the State for Unfounded Penalties‘, which was published in the business weekly Lider in Issue 537 on January 15, 2016, and announced on Lider’s portal. The response, signed by the head of Uber’s office in Croatia, Loic Amado, is presented in full:
‘Uber has not sued and does not plan to file a lawsuit against the state. We fully support a small number of partner drivers whose transport licenses were reviewed by customs inspectors on December 11, 2015. These legal proceedings concern our partner drivers and are still ongoing, but for legal reasons, we cannot provide any further details about them. Uber works exclusively with partners – drivers who are registered to provide transport services, which is in accordance with relevant regulations.’
