Razer’s Leviathan was highly praised as a ‘soundbar’ with a ‘subwoofer’ that offered an ideal and very compact solution for quality sound in multimedia and video games. The company has now introduced the new Leviathan Mini, which, although it bears the same name, is actually a different category of device – a portable compact sound system.
As is customary, the Mini connects to sound sources via a wireless Bluetooth connection. A special feature of this model is the support for a virtualized 5.1 ‘surround’ system when used with another speaker. The 2600 mAh battery is expected to provide 10 hours of autonomy and can be charged in just one hour. The connection range is about ten meters, and NFC technology allows for extremely fast pairing. The Mini remembers the last paired device, with reconnection possible at the press of a designated button. The speaker weighs 538 grams and its dimensions are 185 x 54 x 55 millimeters.
