December is behind us – a month after which wallets are traditionally mostly empty due to increased holiday spending.
The final calculation shows that we have left behind a year of increased spending and stronger optimism, especially in December, reports RTL. When all accounts through the fiscalization system are summed up, in 2015 we spent a total of 158.3 billion kuna, which is 3.3 billion more than in 2014. Throughout last year, retail and optimism grew.
As a result, VAT flowed excellently into the state treasury. With 2.6 billion more taxes in the state treasury, the deficit has been significantly amortized. The latest data from the Tax Administration reveals that in 2015, fiscalization recorded more than 2 billion and 350 million issued invoices, which is an increase compared to last year.
The new year has passed, shopping centers are slowly emptying, but in December they were packed. People mostly bought electronic equipment, mobile phones, clothing, footwear, and food, and when all of this is summed up, 12 billion and 600 million kuna were spent in December, which is an increase of 400 million kuna compared to last year.
These are, reports RTL, the total figures of the fiscalization system that records every issued invoice in Croatia.
