The business year 2015, despite symbolic indicators of recovery that should be welcomed, but also emphasized as insufficient, continued from previous years from an entrepreneurial perspective in which the necessary reforms have not realistically begun to take place, which is a prerequisite for creating a better business environment.
Unfortunately, the economy has been left to the management bodies of companies and enterprises within such frameworks and bears a significant burden of the state and unresolved issues.
When it comes to the next year, 2016, there are indications of change, primarily in the clarity of articulating problems and the significant positive effort that employers are making to point out that the existing business framework is not sustainable. Specifically, JGL is engaged within HUP and within the industry in which it operates, specifically warning of the obstacles it encounters in business, which can be easily removed. A prerequisite for this is that all relevant ministries suppress their particular interests, simply put, that everyone works in the interest of selected, strategic industries that can be even stronger carriers of further growth and development.
Adjustments More Necessary Than Ever
As very active members of HUP, we advocate the positions he has expressed regarding monetary and fiscal policy. Relevant experiences show that sustainable fiscal consolidations arise from discipline in expenditures, and that delaying consolidation can undermine confidence, worsen expectations, and postpone investments. We are aware that we all pay the cost of fiscal irresponsibility, but we wonder if there is really a willingness to limit the budget deficit and public debt and to respect fiscal rules by prescribing responsibility.
Croatia is strategically better positioned than ever, but we have missed many opportunities for economic growth and stronger development of the country. Therefore, much is expected from the new government. We need to be optimistic and clearly articulate our expectations.
No government so far has had the courage to implement key cuts, set things on realistic foundations, and show all interest groups the direction in which this state will go. After that, I believe that everyone would agree to their short-term contribution to long-term sustainability. It is important who the new ministers and government will be, whether they will have support, or whether they will be able to make that necessary turn towards reforms and the discipline of their implementation.
As for the company JGL, it is undeniable that the environment in which we operate has posed great challenges. We live in a time of great upheaval in which adjustments are more necessary than ever for companies to maintain stability and ensure the long-term viability of their business. We closely monitor all events in key markets and assess their impact on our business. Thanks to the strengthened technological platform within the investment project Pharma Valley and the obtained certificates that confirm the quality of our products and business processes, we have strengthened our positions and can compete in new areas, which opens the perspective for further growth and development.
